Foosball Tables: The Brief Overview

Honestly, I never gave Foosball a thought until after my college years, pre-kids.  My reflexes never seemed to be nimble enough to score a goal, much less keep from scoring a goal on myself.  Much to my surprise, I now think that Foosball or Table Soccer games are some of the very best games to keep your family entertained.  Want to keep the teens at home?  Foosball will do it.

We'll start with the best and work our way to the most affordable because, frankly, that's the way you determine a Foosball tables' quality: Weight and Price.  Arguments abound for which foosball table is the "best," but I'll focus on the home market and the results I've found in my 22 years of researching and selling these tables.

Valley-Dynamo is the clear leader in the Foosball market with its T-3000, which can, if you so desire, be ordered with a single goalie.  This is one of only a few foosball tables (anymore) that I know of with a one-goalie option. The other is the Brunswick Euro Scorer which I describe below.

If you want the T-3000 foosball table delivered and set-up in your home, it will cost $2,628 (from this establishment anyhow).  If you want to pick it up in a box, I can have it ready to load at our shop for $2,478.

If you're thinking that you could pay for a semester of college if you put that money in the bank, let me mention a few other, less expensive, but excellent quality foosball tables from Dynamo:  The Classic and the Sport sell for $1,838 and $1,398 respectively.  The Classic weighs in at 225 lbs and the Sport is 205 lbs.  We believe that the Sport is all you'll probably need for the money and the biggest difference is wood handles on the Classic, sure-grip black plastic handles on the Sport.

The other difference between the two is that the Classic delivers the ball at the side and the Sport delivers it at the end of the table.  Finally, the Classic has a leg leveler design while the Sport has "adjustable" legs and may be better suited for families with kids in the 7-12 year old range.

One of the reasons we like the Tornado brand is that we're familiar with the company, Valley-Tornado, and we know that we can order replacement parts for the tables.  There is nothing more frustrating than talking with a customer who has purchased a cheaper brand and is looking for parts.  Usually, we end up jury-rigging something made with Dynamo parts, so why not purchase the quality table in the first place and avoid the $450 buyers remorse syndrome.

Other models in the Valley-Dynamo line include:

Elite:  $1,998
Madison, Reagan, & Worthington: $2278
Scottsdale: $2,578.

Best Under $1,000

For those who absolutely cannot purchase a foosball table in the over-$1,000 category, we carry the Brunswick Kicker (who makes up these names?) for $699.  Delivery and set-up will run you another $150; my husband curses when he puts these together, so it might be worth the money.
